Terms of service

These terms govern your use of www.thekashira.com and any order you place through it. By using the site or buying from it, you accept them.

The site is operated by PARESHKUMAR MAKODBHAI KAKADIYA, proprietor of KASHISH NERROW FABRICS, trading as The Kashira, of 4th Floor, C-Typ, Unit No. 5, Plot No. 55, Krishna Industries-2, Makna Valan Road, Kamrej, Surat, Gujarat 394325, India. GSTIN: 24AGRPK4447L1ZW.

Who can order

You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. By ordering you confirm the details you give us are accurate and that the payment method is yours to use.

Products, colour and variation

Every saree on this site is woven. Small variations in the weave, in motif placement, and in shade between one piece and the next are normal in woven silk and zari. They are not defects.

Colour on a screen is also not colour in the hand. Displays vary, and so does daylight. We photograph as faithfully as we can and describe fabric and weave accurately, but we cannot guarantee an exact match to what you see on your device.

Measurements are approximate and given as a guide.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of GST. Shipping is free across India.

We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order already placed. Payment is taken through Razorpay for prepaid orders, or in cash on delivery where that option is available for your pin code.

When an order becomes a contract

Your order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we confirm dispatch — not when you receive the automatic order-received email.

We may decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if:

  • the saree turns out to be unavailable — most pieces here are one of a kind, and two people can order the same one within moments;
  • a price or description was listed in error;
  • we cannot verify the delivery address or reach you to confirm a Cash on Delivery order;
  • we have reason to believe the order is fraudulent, or is for resale.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel before dispatch — email us as soon as possible and we will refund you in full. Once a parcel has left us it is covered by our Refund Policy instead.

Delivery and returns

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy, and returns and refunds by our Refund Policy. Both form part of these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your phone number or email secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account being used fraudulently or abusively.

Reviews and anything you post

Reviews should be your honest experience of a saree you bought. By posting one you grant us the right to display it on the site and in our marketing. We may remove anything unlawful, abusive, misleading, or written to promote something else. We do not edit reviews to make them more favourable.

Our content

The photography, text, design, logo and name on this site belong to The Kashira and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without our written permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages.

Where we stand on liability

Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — for example, a saree arriving after an event because a courier network ran slow.

We do not promise the site will be available without interruption, and we may change or withdraw products and features.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by something genuinely beyond our control: natural disaster, strike, civil unrest, courier network failure, government restriction, or the interruption of power or internet services. If such an event materially delays your order, we will contact you and you may cancel it for a full refund.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a consumer complaint before the forum nearest you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
